THE X FACTOR — WHERE DOES THE RX FIT? • Honda's CRF250RX has always been a bit of an interesting bike. It sits somewhere between the CRF250R motocrosser and a dedicated enduro machine, but it isn't really either. So, after spending time on it in two completely different environments, I came away asking one question: where does this bike actually fit, and who is it built for?

Walsh himself thought so, too. But when Honda came calling for the 50th running of the event, the lure proved too strong to ignore. Twelve months after watching from the sidelines, Walsh returned aboard a factory Honda CRF450RX and delivered one of the most remarkable victories of his career, drawing level with Toby Price on six Finke wins. We caught up with the Alice Springs local to talk retirement, records, rivalries, and whether a seventh crown could still be on the cards.
