PROJECT CORNER MICHAEL WHITEHEAD'S YAMAHA R1 • Some projects hit very differently to others. And it's fair to say, Michael Whitehead's R1 is very much in that camp. Born from a love of Yamaha's iconic litre sports bike and an unhealthy curiosity about what could be achieved with a TIG welder, the end result is every bit as striking as it is questionable. Love it or loathe it, though, you can't help but admire the time, effort and serious fabrication skills that have gone into crafting this creation.
