-----DETAIL ist die internationale Zeitschrift für Architektur + Baudetail. Sie erscheint 10-mal im Jahr. Zusätzlich erscheinen die Sonderhefte DETAIL Green für nachhaltiges Bauen, DETAIL Structure als Schnittstelle zwischen Architekten und Bauingenieuren und DETAIL Inside mit allen relevanten Aspekten der Innenarchitektur. Das Fachmagazin wird in mehr als 90 Länder als bilinguale deutsch-englische Ausgabe geliefert. DETAIL bietet Dokumentationen und Informationen zu Bauobjekten aller Kategorien. Schwerpunkt: Das Detail im konstruktiven und architektonischen Zusammenhang.

-----DETAIL is the international journal dedicated to architecture and construction details. Each issue focuses on a particular aspect of design, such as constructing with concrete, roof structures, etc. Emphasis is placed on presenting designs in great detail, and complementing these with drawings in practical scales and superb photographs that illustrate real world examples from near and far. Detail German/English Edition is published 10 times per year (+ special issues DETAIL Green, DETAIL Structure and DETAIL Inside).

Leicht trifft schwer: Verbunddecken aus Bambus und Beton Light meets Heavy: Composite Slabs in Bamboo and Concrete • Bambus wächst schnell, weshalb sich das Baumaterial in vielen Ländern des globalen Südens etabliert hat. Um seine Schwächen beim Schallschutz und Schwingungsverhalten auszugleichen, experimentiert ein Forschungsteam aus Konstanz mit Verbundkonstruktionen aus Bambus und Beton. Bamboo grows quickly, which is why it has established itself as a construction material in many countries in the Global South. A research team from Konstanz are experimenting with composite constructions of bamboo and concrete to improve their sub-optimum sound insulation and vibration properties.
