It is time to compile a list and go for a rummage. If you take to the road watch out for piles of soggy leaves on the apex of your favourite bend, check the heated grips still work and strap some emergency waterproofs to your pillion seat and as night falls it's time to retire to the shed with kettle and flask, and your phone off.
